bryant park
Exactly one year ago today, I took my first trip to Bryant Park’s holiday market. When my train rolled into NYC this afternoon, after a hard morning workout and a lunch cut short for time, I was starving. Hitting the holiday market for dinner seemed like a no-brainer.
The market has such a festive, excited atmosphere. Everything smelled so incredible. I was pretty disappointed that so many food stalls were closed, but the Thai savory crepe I settled on for my main course did not let me down.
The crepe had chicken, eggs, peanuts, and a myriad of yummy sauces. It absolutely hit the spot, in terms of hunger satiation. The chicken was tender, and the spices were aromatic. It was a very vibrant dish. I will say that it was very difficult to eat— the crepe itself fell apart easily, and the paper it was served on got super soggy.

For dessert, I had a sweet crepe. It had strawberries, blueberries, and white chocolate. I enjoy a crepe on any occasion, and for that reason, I enjoyed this one. But as far as crepes go, it was pretty average. The chocolate wasn’t fully melted, which was a bummer; fortunately, the blueberries and strawberries were nice and fresh. The crepe exterior was a little too dry.
