You can judge a person by the way they treat their waiter, and you can judge a city by the quality of its bagel sandwiches. DC passes this test thanks to the work of Call Your Mother Deli.

For my first CYM bagel, I went with the Thunderbird- a salted honey bagel with cheese, egg, and chicken sausage. Man was it good. I'd put it about even with Liberty Bagels in Manhattan, which is saying something. The bagel itself was the best part. Salt and honey is a deadly combo- the sweet/savory mix made for a great few bites. The cheese was also applied very liberally, which I appreciated. The egg was actually better than normal, thanks to its crispy exterior. Finally, the sausage was solid, or about on par with typical deli sausages.
