a quick chinese bite in flushing part ii

NYC

The Chinese culinary experience in NYC can be a great thing. When entering an NYC street of predominantly Chinese businesses, it’s hard not to get excited by the bustle of the foot traffic and the unique sense of culinary community. The row of Chinese food vendors off of the Flushing stop of the Q65 bus has become a go-to for Nic and I when we travel from Queens to Manhattan on the seven train. We’re particularly drawn to a small booth that serves veggie-filled scallion pancakes, pork buns, and a few other traditional dishes. This time around, I purchased a pan-fried pork bun, and it didn’t dissapoint.

This bun was the perfect hunger solution. The dough was absolutely on point, and the pork was drenched in great sauces. Overall, I was pleased with my selection.

Dough: 9/10

Pork: 7.5/10

Overall: 8/10
